I wonder how many people will fail to see that sign and end up having to pay the 75¢ penalty surcharge?
Maybe none, if you believe that sign. On the other hand, who believes the MBTA these days?
Just one more little gouge at passengers pocketbooks, courtesy of the MBTA. Oddly enough, they don't seem to have announced the change, and as far as I can tell it hasn't been in the news at all. A search of mbta.com hasn't turned up anything about the change either.
I'm reminded of an old Basil Rathbone Sherlock Holmes movie. Moriarty strapped him to a hospital bed, stuck a needle in his arm, and proceeded to slowly bleed him to death, one drop at a time. Unfortunately we in the public don't have a Doctor Watson to rescue us at the last minute!

I got to your blog via the Train Stopping blog and think that you do a wonderful job! I'm a big fan of Train Stopping because it deals directly with my line (Worc./Framingham) most of the time, but it's nice to see someone offering the same to the other rail passengers.
The point for my comment is, while I don't wish to draw attention to myself or my strategy, I NEVER pay the $2. While I can't speak to the conditions of other lots, the lot in which I park is never patrolled, and hardly maintained over the winter months. I was under the impression that's what our rent money went towards. So, in the fashion of thumbing my nose at "the man," I started paying only $1 per day. I have not had a problem (more specifically an envelope on my car) ever. It also cut my parking fees in 1/2!
